The Massey Ferguson 399 4WD is a powerful utility tractor designed for demanding agricultural operations such as cultivation, heavy tillage, planting, hauling, and loader work. Produced as part of the Massey Ferguson 300 Series, it became one of the brand’s most recognised models due to its reliability, strong engine performance, and durable construction.

Powered by a Perkins A6.354.4 5.8 L six-cylinder diesel engine, the MF 399 produces approximately 97–104 hp (72–77 kW) depending on model year and specification. It features a synchromesh transmission with 12 forward and 4 reverse gears, with later models offering shuttle and Speedshift transmission options for improved operational flexibility.

The 4WD drivetrain provides excellent traction and stability in difficult terrain and heavy pulling applications. The tractor is equipped with hydrostatic power steering, wet disc brakes, independent PTO, and a Category II three-point linkage with a rear lift capacity of approximately 2,500 kg.
