Rippers: 1, 2, 3, 5 & 7 Tine

DESCRIPTION
Rippers in 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7-tine configurations are designed for deep soil loosening, breaking up compacted layers, and improving root penetration and water infiltration. The number of tines determines the working width and application, with single-tine models suited to deep, targeted ripping, while multi-tine units cover wider areas with slightly reduced working depth.
The tines are typically made from hardened steel for durability and are spaced to allow effective soil penetration without excessive resistance. Working depth varies depending on the number of tines and soil conditions, with single-tine rippers capable of reaching depths of up to approximately 300–600 mm, while larger multi-tine models generally operate at shallower depths to maintain efficiency.
Mounted via a three-point linkage, rippers are compatible with a range of tractors, typically requiring between 30 and 70 horsepower depending on the size and configuration. With a relatively simple and robust design, their weight usually ranges from around 100 to 500 kg, providing sufficient strength for demanding field conditions. As with most agricultural implements, specifications may vary depending on the manufacturer and configuration.
